Being a part of the Prodigy family is a true joy! I have been with Prodigy since the very beginning and it has been a wonderful experience to help this amazing school grow and flourish. My “Prodigy Journey” began when I was 13 years old, volunteering once a week to read one-on-one with the younger students. I found this time with the students so rewarding and fulfilling that I gradually increased my volunteering schedule with Prodigy. It was at this point in my life I also realized that a career in education was my calling. The school recognized my enthusiasm and commitment to education, and as a result gave me the opportunity to become an assistant teacher with Julie Albertson. Six years later my love for the school has only grown stronger as I too have grown as an educator, learning the best ways to meet the individual needs of the students within the unique Prodigy educational environment.
I am currently pursuing my degree in elementary education through Liberty University online and will continue to do so during the summer months. I am thankful for the flexibility both Liberty and Prodigy have that allows me to do this! Throughout my time at Prodigy, I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from so many wonderful educators and can’t wait to implement these curriculums, projects, and techniques into my own classroom. My goal as a teacher is for each child to feel like they are valued and loved by God, to help them become the best version of themselves, and to instill a love of learning that continually grows throughout time. I look forward to continuing to grow alongside the Prodigy family in the years to come!
