Encore Programs

Learning at Prodigy goes far beyond the core classroom.

Encore programs are the classes, experiences, and opportunities that round out a Prodigy education. From Spanish and agriculture to creative arts, athletics, literacy support, and special education, these programs are woven into every student's week and every grade level's experience. They are not extras. They are part of what makes Prodigy, Prodigy.

Playing for a higher purpose

Athletics and Recreation

Physical education is a core part of every student’s week at Prodigy. Beyond that, when a group of students has a shared passion for a sport and a parent steps up to coach, we make it happen. Over the years that has looked like basketball, soccer, cross-country, and more. It is organic, community-driven, and entirely in keeping with how Prodigy operates — students and families shaping the experience together.

However it shows up, athletics at Prodigy is about more than competition. It is about developing character, resilience, humility, and the kind of teamwork that carries into every area of life.

Nurturing faith, harvesting purpose

Agriculture

Colossians 2:6-7 calls us to be rooted in Christ, built up in Him, and established in faith. Our agricultural program takes that charge literally and seriously.

On our 32-acre campus, students get their hands in the soil, care for living things, and discover what it means to be faithful stewards of God’s creation. Gardening, farming, and outdoor stewardship teach patience, responsibility, and wonder in ways that few classroom experiences can. It is some of the most meaningful learning that happens at Prodigy, and some of the most memorable.

Unlocking student potential

Creative Arts

God is a creator, and every child made in His image carries that same creative impulse. Our Creative Arts program gives students the space and the tools to find out what that looks like for them specifically.

Through visual art and music, students from PreK through 12th grade explore their talents, develop real craft, and discover the joy of making something. For our youngest students that might mean paint-covered hands and songs sung at the top of their lungs. For older students it means growing into genuine artists and performers who create with purpose and skill.

Some of the most beloved traditions at Prodigy live in this program, including our annual Christmas performance. Whether a student discovers a lifelong passion here or simply learns to appreciate beauty more deeply, the creative arts leave a mark.

A safe and joyful space

Aftercare

For working families who need coverage after the school day, Prodigy offers an aftercare program from 4:15 to 5:30. Students enjoy indoor and outdoor activities, free play, and time with friends in a safe, supervised, Christ-centered environment. It is a peaceful (but fun-filled) end to the day for kids and a reliable option for parents.

¡Hola!

Spanish Instruction

Research is clear that the earlier children are exposed to a second language, the more naturally they absorb it. That is why Prodigy introduces Spanish instruction beginning in PreK and continues it through 6th grade.

Beyond the cognitive benefits, learning another language opens students to a wider world and equips them to love and serve people across cultures. It fits naturally into Prodigy’s conviction that education should prepare students for a meaningful life.

Empowering students to thrive

Special Education

At Prodigy, individualized education is not just a philosophy for students who are excelling. It applies equally to students who need additional support. Our special education teacher works closely alongside lead teachers and families to develop tailored strategies, modify instruction, and make sure every child has what they need to grow.

Whether a student needs one-on-one support, multisensory approaches, or simply more time and patience, we find what works. No child is labeled, rushed, or left behind. Every child is seen, known, and equipped to flourish through support that meets their needs.

Nurturing lifelong readers

Literary Reinforcement

Every child’s path to reading is their own. For students ages 5 through 9, our reading support teacher conducts Rigby assessments three times per year to track progress and identify where additional support is needed. From there, personalized instruction targets fluency, comprehension, and phonemic awareness in ways that build genuine confidence alongside skill.

Our reading support teacher and classroom lead teachers work as a team, ensuring that interventions are consistent, targeted, and always framed within the belief that this child is capable and this challenge is temporary.

Adventure, faith and fun

P.L.A.Y. Outdoors Summer Camp

Every summer, Prodigy opens its 32-acre campus for a week-long outdoor day camp that is everything a childhood summer should be. Archery, canoeing, nature walks, art in the outdoors, pioneer skills, and more. Students explore, create, compete, and connect in an environment that celebrates curiosity and God’s creation in equal measure.

It is the Prodigy Way in its most distilled form: give kids room to be fully alive, and watch what happens.

Exploring, creating, connecting

Friday Program

Prodigy operates on a four-day school week, and for families whose schedules require a Friday option, the Prodigy Friday Program fills that gap. From 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, students participate in hands-on learning experiences, community excursions, and creative activities that extend the spirit of the Prodigy week into a fifth day.
